Definitely a good read. I had never really considered getting any more silicone bakeware than the stuff I already have: two scrapers (awesome; they don't melt when I use them on hot things) and one loaf pan (which I use exclusively for meat loaf because cleanup is easier, and hey, meat loaf doesn't really need to have a specific shape. ;-) ).
The one bad purchase I made was a silicone scraper made by Pyrex (you'd think they'd know better): the blade of course was heatproof, but I discovered when I rested it on the edge of a pot of boiling something-or-other that, ha ha! The plastic handle WASN'T heatproof! It melted on contact with the pot. Whoops.
I do my meatloaf in a glass loaf pan so I can see how well it's doing. My silicone spatulae are all wood-handled, which is only tricky when matching up the correct head/handle pair after washing. I like my silicone mat for toffee and other candymaking, but don't use it that often.
